Joey Announces New Signature Stick with Pro-Mark!

Joey has signed on to become the newest member of the Pro-Mark family. Pro-Mark will be releasing Joey's signature stick on May 15th!Joey went as far as to put his own blood right in the ink that will be printed on every stick.

Joey had this to say about joining up with Pro-Mark, "The first wood stick I ever played was a Pro-Mark, so I'm thrilled to be joining the family!
To show everyone just how serious I am about my new signature 515s, I've even gone as far as putting my own blood in the ink for them. It's not just my signature on these sticks, it's me."

Slipknot has recently chosen the song "Dead Memories" to be the second single from their latest album, "All Hope Is Gone." The video was directed by P.R. Brown who has previously worked with Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson and Chimaira amongst others. The video is expected to begin airing shortly.

"After numerous flights we arrived in Nagoya, Japan two days ago. Joey is on fire and we had a killer rehearsal with the full band. Tonight is the first – it's on! We just shot a video for "Dead Memories" that we'll be unleashing to the world in the next couple weeks. This one is psychological – you're in for a journey. We're just starting a world tour – so we hope to see all of you.

It is with huge regret and disappointment that we have been forced to cancel our imminent European festival appearances at Leeds, Reading, 2 Days a Week, Area 4, as well as exclusive performances for MTV Europe and Virgin TV. The other night, Joey Jordison broke his ankle and doctors have advised Joey to stay off his leg for 4-6 weeks to prevent further injury or permanent and more serious damage.

We know you will be hugely disappointed and so are we. Canceling shows is never an easy decision and we apologize to all our fans, friends and family for not being there to throw down with you. We will be back in Europe this November and can't wait to see you all then.

Joey Jordison Black Alpha Slipknot Edition

Swiss cymbal kings Paiste has teamed up with masked-drummer Joey Jordison to create 'Slipknot Edition' Black Alpha cymbals. Essentially, these are Alpha series cymbals primed with Paiste's own ColorSound coating. As you might expect from the name, and the hard metal endorsee, they're black-as-hell.

The Slipknot Editions have been personally chosen by Jordison and are based on his own 2008/2009 touring set-up. So it's a 20" Metal Ride, 17", 18" and 19" Rock Crashes, an 18" Rock China, a 14" Sound Edge Hi-Hat, and a 10" Metal Splash, all emblazoned with a gold Slipknot logo, that are first off the production line.

Slipknot are set to release a new as-yet-untitled album on August 11 according to HMV.

Slipknot and Disturbed to Headline New Festival

In what's sure to be the hottest concert ticket of the summer, multi-platinum rock acts SLIPKNOT and DISTURBED will lead the first-ever ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM FESTIVAL, a riotous road show packed with some of hard music's most influential artists and a plethora of the genre's most exciting young voices. The tour is set to kick off July 9th at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle and will hit 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between early July and late August (a full itinerary will be announced in the coming weeks).

Joining Slipknot and Disturbed on the main stage will be DRAGONFORCE and MASTODON. In addition, the tour will have two second stages: one sponsored by Jagermeister and featuring SEVENDUST, AIRBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, 36 CRAZY FISTS and the Jagermeister Battle of The Bands Winner. An additional second stage will feature MACHINE HEAD, BLACK TIDE, SUICIDE SILENCE, THE RED CHORD and WALLS OF JERICHO.
